I love JB, what I don't think I'll ever get is the supposed Hobart deal with more than half of North's home games heading there under the proposed deal?

JB has been a bit silly about the "I will resign" thing, and maybe adding some players to the Team of the Century, but I think that they have certainly made the right moves in general since the Brayshaws have been on board. NM don't have the massive supporter following to do a Richmond or a Melbourne at this stage, without getting on-field right first - that's the best way to activate the masses.

Fev out of rehab today.

If they can avoid paying out his contract, he should be sacked by the Lions IMO.

He is a moron who I don't think has the capacity to turn things around.

At least with Ben Cousins, he is an intelligent guy who you felt had the capacity to right his ship if given a chance with a club.

By contrast, Fevola is just plain thick.

Kangaroos on the brink

NORTH Melbourne stands on the brink of financial disaster, with the club's bank account holding just $2749 of cash when it filed its annual report on October 31.

Even Benchy has more money than them.

TBF its not really good financial sense to keep more cash in your current account than you need. Article is junk. Auditors report is nothing new, we wouldn't be viable without the AFL, well derr.

Sorry you're right, I was wrong in thinking you had more than $2749 saved up. Forgot the police barred you from that corner at the Cross a few weeks ago. So of course the income stream has taken a hit

In all seriousness, always liked the Roos since they're my brother's team. So always seen them as my 2nd fav club. Plus Wayne Carey wafg.

I wonder if they could do something similar (though of a smaller scale) to what Richmond are doing right now to reduce their debt?

North Melbourne have never been a financial giant, however I'm confident the club is headed in the right direction.

The new Arden St. facility is such a big thing for the club. I've always been a strong advocate of getting your on field stuff right and the off field stuff will sort itself out with the attracting of more members and more sponsors who want to be associated with a winning brand.

The only issue I have is the thirst for selling games to make money that way. I'm not against playing a few games away from Melbourne as the money is too tempting, but I reckon we sould maybe cap it at around 2-3 a season.

At the end of the day, who cares if we're not the richest club in the world? Since when has sport been a money making exercise? As long as the AFL are making billions of dollars, I'm sure they can help out your North Melbournes, your Melbournes and your Western Bulldogs for a few years.

I always think it's pointless and a little bit sad when people start ragging on a team because they aren't a financial powerhouse, and I'm not surprised this latest one started with Caro again.

Who cares how much money a club has? As long as they can field a team that's good enough for me, and if for some reason another team were allowed to go under it would be a shame, unless you want to see Collingwood, Adelaide, West Coast and Essendon playing each other over and over again.

NMFC, from the outside, look like a well-run club and good on Brayshaw for having the cahones to come right out and expose Caro for being the lying, garbage-rifling slut that she is.

Caro just has it in for Brayshaw. Been a feud for years. She wouldn't have made a similar article against the Dees or Doggies I reckon. Not with such a personal nature anyway.

Caro just has it in for North Melbourne. Still the article today wasn't actually written by Caro. or so they say.

Don't worry, there's been more than enough pundits over the years who have been happy to stick the boot into the Dogs.
