Wahab Riaz does have a fantastic yorker in the best traditions of Pakistani quicks (although he uses it very sparingly). His SR atm is in the mid to late 20s IIRC. Definitely a great pick for round 8.Cheers, thanks to marc, he's been great to work with in this draft.
I really think Wahab Riaz was an absolute steal to get so late in the draft (chosen in round 8). I don't want to jinx him, but he's a good value pick to be the tournament's leading wicket taker in my opinion.
I haven't looked at all the attacks, but I like KK's 3 quicks, they should all do well.
Something tells me S Akhtar will get smacked all over the park. We'll take Shoaib Akthar.
Its possible. Still, considering the other options around at this point in the draft he seemed like a reasonable pick. He may go for a few runs but might take a few wickets too. Some of the minnows wouldn't like his pace much as well so I think he might do ok.Something tells me S Akhtar will get smacked all over the park.
Yep, don't think Pakistan would've lost to Ireland in 2007 if Shoaib was playing. Its possible. Still, considering the other options around at this point in the draft he seemed like a reasonable pick. A bad bowling line-upCheers Centurymaker for making the last few picks for our side. I think we've now got a line-up of the following:
G.Gambhir (India)
J.Ryder (New Zealand)
J.Trott (England)
K.Sangakkara (Sri Lanka)
C.White (Australia)
R.Sarwan (West Indies)
J.Franklin (New Zealand)
T.Odoyo (Kenya)
J.Anderson (England)
R.Hossain (Bangladesh)
R.Ashwin (India)
One of the best teams on paper here. The bowling line-up is excellent and IMO it is the bowling that will make the difference on these flat decks.Team so far:
01. Sachin Tendulkar (India) (batsman)
02. Martin Guptill (New Zealand) (batsman)
03. Darren Bravo (West Indies) (batsman)
04. Misbah-ul-Haq (Pakistan) (batsman)
05. Yousuf Pathan (India) (all-rounder)
06. Carlton Baugh (West Indies) (wicket-keeper)
07. Johan Botha (South Africa) (all-rounder)
08. Stuart Broad (England) (all-rounder)
09. Morne Morkel (South Africa) (bowler)
10. Shaun Tait (Australia) (bowler)
11. Shoaib Akthar (Pakistan) (bowler)
Pretty happy with this.
Someone check Teja's room for a balaclava and baseball bat.
Fairly certain he had something to do with this.
Could've commented on our star-studded batting combination.A bad bowling line-up
