Riiiiiiiiiidiiiiiiiiiiculous again.

It was so obvious. Why not take the batting PP while you have a batsman on 100+?
But we don't want to lose wickets, we want to leave it till we have bowlers batting in the PP.

So stupid.

New Zealand Cricket.
- Batsman must bat in a different position every game.
- Batting Power Play can only be taken from overs 40 onwards, no matter what the situation.

This is how we roll, bitches.

People complain that the commentators always criticise/talk about batting powerplays and when to take them. But the reason they do is international teams get it wrong 95% of the time.

Interesting, I rarely find Ryder's shots ugly as opposed to the likes of Vettori, Taylor & McCullum when they get it wrong.
I don't find Ryder when he's going ugly to watch. I very much enjoy his batting.

I do find Ryder when he's tired and can't move a little bit ugly to watch when he's trying to pull a ball that's not there.

agree... i just dont think NZ utilize this at the right time ..esp, in this series it just seems to be wicket to late or an over or two to late.

I am in favour of not being taken till the 40th over - half the time we **** it up and lose 3 wickets and then we would have no one left to slog in the last ten overs.

If we were good during the power play and had a record of success then I wouldn't mind it being taken in the 25th over etc...
