I think it clipped the bail on the way through. Prior didn't feel the bail against his glove when he went forward and assumed it finally fell. Only thing I have in his defence.
Doesnt explain him removing the bails and then claiming he'd been bowled

Oh well, benefit of doubt

Haddin's was a technical problem, but Prior there clearly took the bail off with his gloves and tried to convince everyone that Johnson was bowled.
I still think Haddin must have known he'd removed the bails himself that time, yet he still celebrated the 'bowled'.

But that's a pointless argument - it's not like one side will ever convince the other to change their mind.

This was much more clear-cut, in any case.

Haddin had this problem of bringing his gloves in front of the stumps and that's what led to that controversy, but as you said I find it pretty hard to believe that what Prior did was anything but intentional.

IMO this would be the ideal time to take the batting powerplay, Johnson's in as a pinch hitter, Ferguson can give him him the strike, and they're both in...but we've already one piece of inspired captaincy tonight, why would we think of having two in the one match? 8-)

So do England have anyone left in the sheds that isn't injured? Andy Flower comeback if someone else goes down?

You know, I was actually half expecting him to have to get the kit on haha, one of South Australia's assistant coaches has to do that recently and he took a decent catch haha. Didn't Ottis Gibson field for England not long ago when he was the bowling coach?

Surprised how comfortably Mitch is rotating the strike... Australia are very well-placed ATM.

Have to retract my laughter at Johnson being sent in. The bloke's done a top job. I expected him to get out cheaply.

And Ferguson is such a class ODI batsman. Great to see him back.

Nah. When England took it is perfect.

Yep, Johnson's definitely doing his job. If he can keep it going to make 60+, leaves Dave Hussey and Cam White a great platform to build from with Ferguson.

Clarke cannot send himself in though.

Tell you what, these two are seeing them like melons and timing them accordingly.

Argh, what is that. No run there.

46 at better at a run a ball without anyone noticing, good effort though.
