Guess the one lingering moment from the past six weeks would be steyn vs tendulkar. Exemplary test cricket. Kallis' heroics would come in next i think.

Yeah, armchair statisticians will sometime in future check on Sachin's series average and proclaim how he dominated Steyn, without realising how tested he was and stretched to the limits of his 20 year plus experience to survive by the skin of his teeth most times.

But that said, the master swallowed his ego, doffed an imaginary cap to Steyn, and took on the young turk with respect. Domination wouldn't be the word, but dominated too wouldn't be. A clean draw where both came out on top.

Storkel's bowling this series would probably be the defining aspect of it, for mine. Steyn was as good as anyone ever and Morkel is quick turning into an insanely good bowler in South Africa. He's had 2 sub-25 avg. series' in the last 13 months in SA against top-class opposition, England and India. Now if he can only be a more effective bowler away, It'd be amazing.

Steyn - 21 wickets at 17.5
Morkel - 15 wickets at 24(Thought he was unlucky too tbh)

WAGs. Add Zaheer's 10 in 2 @ 24 and we've seen some exceptional fast bowling in this series.

Laxman's 96 was probably the best individual performance of the series for me and Steyn's 5-60 the best bowling performance. Tendulkar and Kallis were both outrageously good and Gambhir played two extremely high quality knocks(and an alright 80). I really look forward to seeing how Imran Tahir will turn out to be as a test match spinner.

The thing I'll remember most, apart from the ball of the century obvs., is Zaheer basically being the only bowler in our attack in the first 90 min or so of the first Innings of the second test, got three wickets in that Innings, deserved seven.

Where does the idea that Morkel's much less effective away from home come from? Is it just his stats?

Nah, right now, for me, He appears to be a bowler who heavily relies on pitches with bounce to be effective. He is not a bad bowler as such on a pitch with not much in it but he isn't close to as effective. He bowls hundreds of balls which are awesome and almost take wickets and people get the impression that he's unlucky but only at home does he turn into a beastly good bowler who actually takes wickets at the rate he should be taking. He's a bowler who heavily relies on his natural advantage(Height) and hence is most successful in pitches conducive to it, IMHO .

Innings of the test series: Laxman's 96 or
Kallis's double(c'mon KALLIS.DOUBLE.HUNDRED).Yeah twin hundreds at Newlands were in trying conditions, but c'mon KALLIS.DOUBLE.HUNDRED.
Spell from hell: Steyn at Newlands or Morkel at Centurion or Harbajan at Durban
Best Sehwag imitation: AB at Centurion
Best meme: Umadkat
Best meme creator: me

Classiest stroke of the tour: Kohli, for the lofted straight six off Petersen, at PE.In an age of Tea20 wild swings, slogs and swipes, the timing he displayed to deposit the ball straight over the boundary was a site to behold.
In my mind I can still see him, bat at shoulder height, parralel to the ground...holding that pose for a second or two.
This kid is seriously talented and
it looks like he has a stomach for the fight
If Suresh got test callup, then surely it is a matter of time before he plays test cricket.
He may well be better than Raina, Pujara,Badrinath and AN Random.
kallisball...yeah

Don't really mind something like this between balls ,tbh.

But when to compensate this they skip replays at the end of the over and even the last ball of the over, then it is ******* irritating.

CEO says its because of the ridiculously low prices of tv coverage in India which is kind of true. Not sure its an excuse though..

Bloody hell I pay $20 a month for 2 cricket channels and in India people pay like $5 a month for satellite tv
