i expect the top 15 to be made up of sachin, viv, kallis, wasim, gilchrist, jayasuriya, ponting, garner, pollock, kapil, murali, mcgrath, bevan, lara and warne; and probably in that order.

gooch, pietersen, flintoff, lamb, lillee, sehwag, afridi, lloyd, g.kirsten, dravid, boon, shastri, s,waugh, sarwan, m.clarke, qadir - all excellent ODI players - are likely to miss out. dont think some of them even got nominated.

I have 13 of them in my list. The two that I don't have were silly omissions. So agree with your prediction fully.

I had Lamb at no 22.Kallis wont be so high.He is overrated as an odi player.

I had Wasim at the top. In fact my top 3 were all bowlers and Bevan was my highest ranked batsman at 4. I did not have Jayasuriya in my top 15 though

Wanted to see Klusener, Imran, Hadlee higher. I had them 7, 8, and 9.
I am surprised to see Symonds in the top 25. His bio here tells a lot. A little surprised that Zaheer crept in despite playing only 60 odd ODIs. Also surprised that Saqlain only ended up at 21. Although that might be because Ikki and Maximus (despite having Saqlain's name in his sig) forgot to put him in. One of the greatest ODI bowlers of all time.
Actually after rechecking my list,
I take back what I said.
I actually included Saqqi!!

Nah, it's Viv then Sachin. Kallis is not going to be number 3. Bevan too low.
Kallis really being overrated if he gets in the top 10, for mine.
I had him at #19.

Ponting should be top 5 as well IMO.

My top 5 in no particular order : Viv, Sachin, Ponting, Wasim, McGrath.

A fair assessment I think. Although I didn't rate them in this order. I feel Murali has a strong shot at top 5 too.

Yeah, Murali, Garner and Pollock very unlucky to miss out. Actually the top 10 have nothing to separate them IMO.

I would rephrase that as:

My top 10 in no particular order :

Viv, Sachin, Ponting, Wasim, McGrath, Murali, Pollock, Jayasuriya, Gilchrist, Garner.

Interesting.
Tho, I would be surprised if top 5 isn't Viv, Sachin, Wasim, Pollock and Bevan.
That shouldn't mean I am right, of course!

For some reason Jayasuriya comes a little lower for me maybe because he fell away somewhat in the later part of his career and was not so great in the beginning.

I expanded my "top 5 in no particular order" to "top 10 in no particular order" and still couldn't find a place for Bevan. ****, this is hard. No wonder I did not send a list to NUFAN.

It sure is hard. That much is for sure.

Great Work Nufan.

My top player was Gilchrist.

The other nine are the following; they are not in the order I ranked them.

Akram
Tendulkar
Richards
Ponting
Pollock
Jayasuriya
Waqar
Kallis
Garner

i expect sachin, viv and bevan to be the top 3. may be garner at 4 and jayasuriya at 5.

let me pause for a second and tell you that the top 15 players yet to come are absolute world beaters.
