Dammit India!

It says a lot for their quality under pressure lately that I now hate watching tight situations when I have money against them. Quality watch though. Must be pushing the record for most play+misses in an ODI.

South Africa must be sick of hammering us, taking the lead and then getting pegged back in closely fought games. India are like a ****roach they cannot squash.

First win in over 10/11 years by a team batting second here in a day/night ODI match at cape town.(Among test teams)

Actually we've had the wood over SA in ODI's (although a lot of the games have been closely faught) post 07 WC

6-3 India since then. Played 3 matches in Ireland / SA / India each.

Have always hated Bhajji and his arrogance/slogging, but that was awesome.

Indian team does have bags of character. Clearly a pretty tight unit.

That is an incredible achievement. All the more considering their batting is crippled by 3 top profile absences and impostors occupying their spots (atleast the openers)

I am almost feeling optimistic about the World Cup. If we have Zaheer, Bhaji, Praveen and Munaf that's a pretty decent bowling lineup and the batting of course is great on paper. Ultimately though I think there are 3-4 teams which are right up there and the tournament is going to be a bit of a lottery.

Yusuf has redeemed the faith in him. For a long time he looked the IPL specialist who couldn't buy a run in India matches and a rank pie chucker. While his bowling hasn't improved leaps and bounds, although he is getting wickets out of nowhere, his batting has for me turned a corner. I believe there is a lot of self belief in him now. The disappointment he showed after his dismissal, if genuine, bodes well for India as here is one who is willing to take responsibility to ensure his team across the line.

Maybe too early to say but India might have unearthed their Symonds.
