I am ambivalent about Yousuf in the ODI team but wow, he does bring that X factor to the batting. Don't know if he is consistent enough to justify a place though.

I guess Smith should have had Steyn and Morkel against Pathan and Raina and gone for the kill when the pressure was on. Now the RRR is down and they can afford a few quiet overs.

If Yusuf can take us home from here then I won't grudge him his place in the WC squad. The guy definitely has the abilitiy. He just needs to really focus and work on the short ball and I will accept him as our finisher (even though I don't think he's fit for the role).

I would certainly play him in the world cup.

If we are batting first ,he can be shifted up on the slog overs to accelerate.

While if we are batting second ,then he can do what he is doing here and what he did against Newzealand in the last ODI.

He brings that hard hitting ability which is different to the other batsman we have.

Just look here . Every other batsman has had to struggle big time to get into the 20's and he already is a 37 and has brought the run rate down.

While Kohli may be a better bat ,Yousuf is a better fit at 7.

Thats exactly why Yusuf should be our No.7 in short format of the game.

RRR is back to 4 from 5.21 in the span of just 3 overs. WOW!

Should get him in the team without a doubt tbh. You need such a game changer to bat at the lower order of a gun batting lineup imo.

We already have Dhoni and when in form Yuvraj as our finishers.

Yousuf is just the freelance smasher ,who can give some good momentum and reduce pressure on others.

He won't neccesarily carry the team to a win ,but what he will do is help and make it easy for others to carry the team to the finish.

A positive to emerge from this series for India is that Waterboy has looked in better form than he has done for a long time. Dhoni is having a bit of a dip though. But he should be fine when he gets back to Indian wickets, hopefully.

Why not play both? I'd rather play Kholi right now than Raina.
Raina is undroppable in India.

He is a proper finisher for us there and specializes coming down the order at 5th ,6th.

While Kohli is a top order batsman and there is no point loading ourselves with them, when 1,2 and 3 will be Sachin,Sehwag and Gambhir.

Raina also is very good on pitches where the ball is not coming on to the bat and those with inconsistent bounce which are not too high scoring in nature.

While the likes of Yuvraj,Sehwag,Kohli all like Truer bounce pitches more.

Still doesn't look fully convincing for me.

Though he won't be dropped as he has the X-factor and Dhoni never drops him or Raina.
