Lol.. Well that's fine mate. And I don't want to turn it into that in this thread. Guess when we've been here a while we get on each other's nerves is all. I don't think I've had a cross word with Cribb before tonight*

*Long overdue tbf.
Was gonna come in here and back you up.

Then I woke up to myself and realised you're nothin' but a ****.

So nice to finally come into Australia vs England thread and say I enjoyed watching us win.

It wasn't the absolute best of games, but I thought our fielding was superb and I don't think White missed a trick all night with his field settings and change of bowling.

Finch's innings was fantastic, handy contributions from Watson, Paine and I guess Warner too.

I've never pretended that my opinions are any more than that, but if someone posts something over and over again that I think is bull****, I'll let them know I think it's bull**** and why. That's why we have the quote button - having conflicting opinions and discussions about them is part of the forum. Sometimes the discussions get aggressive as two strong opinions clash, but as long as it doesn't get too personal it's still all good. It doesn't mean I want to start an online war across as many threads as possible; it just means I think they're talking **** right at the time, which we all do from time to time.

When I made about 1000 posts in a tour thread about how **** I thought Martin Guptill was as a long-form cricketer, people who disagreed rightly called me out on it and expressed their disdain. I just copped it, because that's what happens on forums. I still think Martin Guptill is dire when he's not wearing coloured clothing and I'll continue to say so, but I fully expect to have my opinion rubbished by those unfortunate souls who disagree.

This would be a boring place if we weren't allowed to tell people they were talking out of their arse about certain topics when we thought they were. Unfortunately, some people take it way too personally and see any aggressive criticism/disagreement of one's opinion as a vicious personal attack that needs to be feuded over for the next six months over as many threads as possible, which is growing increasingly annoying here. Thinking someone is ****ing dickhead in one thread and a ****ing champ in another, then joking with them about it in a third is what CW should be about - unfortunately it's descending into a parochial mess with ongoing feuds and sly nasty digs all about the place.
Well yeah this is true. Can't help but agree with that.

Guptill's a gun though. How the **** could you think otherwise? Unbelievable

Well PEWS you will not be happy about the second test in New Zealand then. Martin Guptill will likely be an opener

Great game btw. I was especially impressed with Finch and the contributions Watson/Johnson and at times Lee made with the ball. The fielding was also really top notch.

Burgey and EWS are both wannabe English ****s and should STFU tbh. Ian Bell>>>>Ronnie Irani>>>>(Burgey+Prince EWS)-Richard

Well played Australia. Was limited to radio coverage as tv and net went down this morning. 8-)

Sounds like a fair result, on the positive side 2 series played and still not lost one.

And it was pretty much a ragtag England side. Luke Wright as a specialist batsman. Give me a ****ing break.

I have to say I was unfair on the Australians at the innings break - they seemed to allow themselves to get strangled in the middle section and end up 10-20 runs under par.

But from the looks of both innings it was a really slow pitch and near impossible to get anything away, which combined with the huge outfield meant that boundaries mays well not have been available. Morgan's shot to get out would have gone a mile into the stands and most grounds.

In hindsight, very well played to Aaron Finch, who timed and controlled his innings superbly, all the twos he hit showed a really clever cricketer. He was the difference between the sides in the end, so a great game for him.

Oh, and Re: Wright, it's ****ing ridiculous now. He's been decent playing as an all-rounder in the past but is not only senselessly being played as a batsman, he is simply not performing, no matter how much of a potential bowling option he may be - today he was 8th choice bowler. And in his last 6 matches, he averages 8.6 at a strike rate of 81.

The thing about Luke Wright is he is fine when you're owning a game and just want a quick 12 from 4 or whatever, which is useful now and again in a T20. A luxury like that though can be quite costly when you need a more sustained contribution like today. And I like the guy.
