At Liverpool airport, the John Lennon statue has the inscription ‘Above us only sky.’ Someone has written next to it: ‘Below us only West Ham.’
While it's not suprising to see Howard Webb's decisions favour Manchester United, he got both big calls absolutely spot on. You're clutching at straws if you're blaming the referee for that one.Webbchester United?
Ha, I think I might have posted it earlier in the season, was certainly giving it out at work. A good one nonetheless. This may be an old line but I've not heard it before...

Indeed. Condolences naturally go to his family! I only saw him play on the odd occasion (in play-offs and the like) but he seemed to be a good proffessional who served all his clubs well.RIP Richard Butcher.
Fans of league 2 sides will know of him. Very sad news at only 29.
Whining little bitch. Merse clearly touched a nerve.
Was just doing his bit to show he's every bit as competent as Rob Green tbf.Oh dear Ben Foster, even Scott Carson wouldn't have done that.....
It's got a really stupid away goals format as well.Have to say, not a fan of the league cup semi-final being played over two legs. Arsenal really didn't look interested tonight, just went through the motions, won't be that bothered with the defeat and will be confident of winning by a couple of goals in the return leg, which I imagine they will. The current format has given Ipswich a decent night, which granted they deserve, but isn't the concept a bit dated for a domestic competition?
