IPL Price Brackets- Brian Lara included

Arjun

Cricketer Of The Year
The Pune team will be one to follow. Their main catchment team, Maharashtra, made the SMAT knockouts two times in a row, and all of their players boast of good T20 records. If they get good T20 players from India and abroad to round it off, with one strong batsman, bowler and keeper-batsman, they may do reasonably well. That is, if they're not as poorly managed as the Maharashtra team. Kerala, though, is one team I'm not optimistic about. They will rely a lot on overseas players and sink because they'll lack depth. They'll struggle with getting decent domestic players.

International Captain
Michael bevan has replaced moody at punjab,he is out of a job now, sacked in australia, where to now, back to county cricket i guess.

Mike5181

International Captain
Ryan ten Doeschate just picked up the HRV cup MVP. He is a great player and it will be interesting to see if the IPL teams can look past his associate nation tag

He is already the president of the Karnataka Cricket Association, so probably it was a conflict of interest too.

End of a Great Career Though.

Thank You Anil!!!!!!

Awesome cricketer, a fighter till the end. Remember the days when Harbhajan used to keep him out of the team and suddenly so late in his career he improved as a bowler. Was also a terrific performer in the IPL.

Oh well, I have mixed feelings. It will be great to have him play but before that if no team bids for him, it will be a disgrace.
LOL, I'm 100% confident that he'll go for alot more than his base price. In IPL, more often than not, players don't really attract an amount based on their skills, it's more based on their appeal.
What did I say?

Not that I was sure that Lara will be unsold, but did think there was a good chance, specially considering that he was put in the highest base price bracket.

Yep he is.

And i don't like that man one bi ,N srinivasan.

But don't think Anil wanted a situation where he was KCA president and pay for somebody else as he had to manage both simultaneously.

Plus he was offered RCB mentorship after they wanted to go young and is working full time in that capacity with them.

Following on from that ,today i think spelt the end of one Sourav Chandidas Ganguly's playing career too.

A great leader for Indian team and a very good batsmen ,who had real guts.

Amen to that, really thankful that he was able to come back for a while - make up for the past phase of his captaincy where his poor batting was dragging everything down - and go out on top. He truly set the stage for what now follows.
