168 is probably only about par, if not even a bit under par here. It felt like India got more than that. Poor batting against Peterson and Duminy cost them a bit.

It's definitely competitive; no doubts about that. Probably a few shy of being in a winning position but it's competitive.

Ah okay, I only caught the last few overs. The ground seemed ridiculously small to me - or was it just a case of Raina making it look small ?

Nah, it really is stupidly, stupidly small, but the pitch is really slow. It's not easy to time the ball.
I think it's shy of a par score and I'm backing SA to chase it, but it's still competitive.
It was hardly deliberately prepared that way. The low bounce certainly suited the Indian batsmen though.

Tbh I had lengthy discussions over what was par when I used to go to the my cousin's Under 16s sub-district rep one day games. Discussing cricket is awesome whether you care about the result or not.nah people were discussing intently whether its a par score or not so was just adding my 2 cents

I think the boundaries straight off the wicket are reasonable in length but the boundaries square off the wicket seemed extremely short to me.
I expect SA to take full toll if India bowl short.
The wicket seems extremely slow. Sharma in the beginning and Raina later on were really playing well.
This seems like a par score since India have a few spin options up their sleeve

I have no doubt that he'd have been more expensive than Gambhir. Dhoni would have too, and Kohli would have been a good shout to be a $2million player as well.
