It does show a lack of ambition though, I mean, Arsenal are hardly infallible are they? Granted had Balotelli and Silva been fit they probably would have had a better crack at it, but still. Also Sky are getting stuck into Manchester City. The concept of a team going to a top 4 rival and aiming not to lose seems to be lost on them.
But tbh, had he pushed up further, it would have resulted in his cross failing to beat the first man/him playing a stupid one-two pass, losing it and having to scamper back/getting there and passing it back to the centre backs. He was fine defensively, but the number of times Arsenal were crying out for a ball to be played left only for Clichy to be scratching his arse on the halfway line was criminal.
Couple of injuries to key attacking players, away to a side who thumped you 3-0 last time you met. Reckon most managers would be delighted with the point, particularly with how easy it was.It does show a lack of ambition though, I mean, Arsenal are hardly infallible are they? What is that?
I don't know.What is that?
Mmm I'm with sledger here. There's pros and cons to both but at the end of the day a win is worth three times as much as a draw. So even if you only think it gives you a 35% shot at winning with Arsenal winning the rest of the time, going for the win is still the right thing to do.Couple of injuries to key attacking players, away to a side who thumped you 3-0 last time you met. At the same time we could still be playing the 2nd half now and it would still be 0-0.Easy point? They got ripped to shreds in the first half and needed the woodwork to keep them in it. They played some of the most uninspiring stuff I've ever witnessed from a title contender.
Not necessarily, they played in exactly the same manner against us with Silva available, though admittedly Balotelli didn't play. And that was at home.Granted had Balotelli and Silva been fit they probably would have had a better crack at it, but still.
