*Official* India in South Africa

The turning point in this game was when Boucher walked in and the game was for the taking, and Ishant Sharma bowled nonsense.
I honestly think the Indian pacers have just tired. Harbajhan is still ok, but this was always on the cards after three tests at the end of a hot day.

They really needed to wrap up this innings quickly.

No...they don't. Have them bat as long as possible into tomorrow. They can't win anyway - the last thing you want is Sehwag to have to come out tonight.

Ishant Sharma, it is time for you to retire. Begone.woebegone!

Along with Kumble, Ishant could manage some IPL team.

No chance. SA can easily restrict the run rate if they choose, or cut down the over rates.

A hundred runs a go, maybe. Now, no way. Zero. Draw would be what India are playing for now.
Mate, we played for a draw when South Africa got to 170.

Basically, India aren't at a point where they can expect to beat SA in an away series. They need a bowler of Steyn's caliber, or another one of Zaheer's caliber. Just need to accept that fact and move on with life. Steyn will show us what we're missing tomorrow.

Sehwag in the 2nd Innings on a seaming pitch opening against SA with it's ATG bowler having more wickets in the series than Sehwag has runs? Not really.

Ishant is just following a long Indian tradition of overstepping the line. Started with Sita in the Ramayana.

Are you being facetious or just attempting a jinx? The best batting line up in the world will always have at least an outside chance to chase down 300.

I agree its very unlikely now, but to say there's no chance at all is just wrong.
No, not being facetious. Because:

  1. Dhoni won't go for it.
  2. Chance of Sehwag in the second innings in SA is basically nil
  3. If they look like they have a chance, Smith will go defensive
  4. If it looks like they're getting close, the overrates will slow down

No that's false.

We didn't need Steyn to win, or another Zaheer. Yes it'd make life easier, but the game was up for grabs and Dhoni decided he wasn't willing to risk a loss.

What we need is a captain with balls. We don't have won, so we won't win in SA.

Seriously hoping India manage to keep the run-rate down and Smith bats on a few overs into day 5.

Retire from ODIs after the World Cup please Kallis. Don't give up bowling instead; then you'll just be a one-dimensional hack for the end of your career like that Tendulkar ****.
I wonder who has more wickets in this game..?
