*Official* Fifth Test at the SCG

Jacknife

International Captain
Full of ****. Can see he's unsure about it on the replays, he looks around at the umpire too. You're kidding yourself if you think he was out and out saying he definitely caught it.
You can quite clearly see at the moment the ball went in his hands, he knew it bounced, the when his team mate chimed in he claimed it, why not do what Swann did the other test and not celebrate it and get the umpire to check it.

Justice is done. Well played yet again, Cooky.

Pity the Australians did that, really really poor from them. It's hard to see on TV but the commentators are saying that some of their players have decided not to applaud Cook's hundred. Where's your precious ****ing spirit of the game, lads? Couple of tips for you: don't go up for catches when the ball bounces, and don't hold it against the batsman when they rightly don't take your word for it that you've caught it. ****s.

Cannot really understand people defending Hughes to be honest.

Anyway Cook is a class above so they call all **** off.

Lol Collingwood why not try to cut pies 3 feet outside off rather than sweep?

Played Cooky.

Don't get what this luck business is about. Beer bowled a no-ball, doesn't matter when it's called. And Hughes effectively fielded a ball that bounced. And if you want to start talking aout edges that don't carry then don't get us started on Hussey!

What crap comments. He's plainly unsure as he comes up. Not a Dhoni, Strauss or Clarke moment by any stretch.
Why celebrate it then? That's the worst part of it, Hughes knew he hadn't caught it but claimed it anyway. Haddin knew he hadn't caught it and didn't join in any celebrations. Utterly dire stuff.

Because the Spirit of the Game demands that you take the fielder's word for it when they claim they took the catch cleanly. By which reckoning, Cook fails
Its disgraceful for them to be so petty about Cook rightfully standing his ground. Another poor show here.

Yeah it's only luck when Hussey edges.
