Well considering he has been dropped twice, beaten/played a missed over 15 times and is likely to make the worst test century since Imran Farhat against New Zealand, I don’t think the bowling to Gambhir has been that bad to be honest.
Bowling good deliveries, no doubt.

But they get those wafts or nicks when they continuously bowl there, rather than just bowl it there and release the pressure with half volleys on the pads.
