*Official* India in South Africa

MS will have a big role to play here. He's been the surprise package this tour with the bat.

If MS is in today we're in trouble lol.
Aren't we already? lol

Seriously though the ideal scenario would have been a big first innings total and then trying to cause a collapse in the second innings. But that looks faaaaar of right now.

India have really handed the 2 wickets to South Africa.

Hasn't really been very good bowling. Infact South Afrcia are lucky to have India 2 down.

We can't afford to lose more than one wicket today. Tomorrow is supposedly the best day for batting - can't let South Africa bat tomorrow. If we are say, 160-3 at the end of the day's play, that wouldn't be too bad a position to be in.

Really? I thought there was some decent bowling, aside from the stray one on the pads

Not really.

India easily bowled better this morning and beat the bat more times.

They haven't perhaps given too many freebies but there has not been anything really threatening.

Will take a score of 300 here. Bhajji will come into play in the next innings and SA might not score much giving us a reachable target. Yeah I can wish.
Day three will be an excellent day to bat. India need to stretch it out into near the fourth day for that.

And if that happens, they'll be even or in the lead most likely anyway.

Whatever it takes!!!
This is the kind of innings which makes one think Kallis = Ponting with the bat.
AWTA.. awesome knock.. I am sure right now, it seems Kallis is bridging the gap with Ponting, but we will have to wait till both men retire to make the best call, I feel..

Need at least 3 among Gambhir, Tendulkar, Laxman, Pujara and Dhoni to score 70+, with one of them cashing in with a big hundred. A 100 run lead looks unlikely at this point, but not impossible. Come on India.

 Aside from Sreesanth, none of the Indian bowlers bowled well today, none of them.

Virat Kohli (c)
Sehwag has **** me this series. He really has.

In 2006 he was just being outclassed and was in a rut anyway. You accept that. If a player is out of touch or not good enough, that's life.

This time he has batted very poorly despite being in good touch. SA have bowled cleverly to him, no doubt, but he's not receiving balls that Sachin received in the first test or Dravid in teh second. He's just throwing it away by swinging crazier than he does when he plays anywhere else.
