What an awesome shot. Gambhir isn't thaat good a batsman to watch but his fours are almost always incredible shots.

Not by people who knew what they were talking about. :p

Sometimes you get a pitch so slow that fast bowlers just don't see the point in trying to bowl flat-out after their first spell, and focus on accuracy and variation, but that hasn't been the case here. I reckon the speed gun is just off.

Thought so too but Morkel's giving that theory the proverbial bird.

I think it is the average from the hand till the point of contact.

So when you pitch it more dull it shows up as lesser speed.

So no surprise Morkel who is bowling shorter is showing up as quicker.
