number 6 is the only position open at the moment, I don't know what it will take for Ponting to lose his place, and after seeing Hussey come back from a trot I'm not too keen to push the point. But Number six. Who really deserves our number 6, or at least 1-6 batting position, that isn't "too young". I've only started watching cricket seriously in the last 5 years, I can't think of any Australian batsman besides Clarke & Hughes that have debuted young (24 of less) in that period.
One of you smarter ones fill me with stories of young debut success. People who are possible worth 1-3 years of success, Rogers, Dussey & USED to be Jaques before he hurt his back like a pounce. Should one of those get a call up for the short term? to give people more time to develop? My personal instinct is to go with Khawaja, I mean, Ponting averaged under 40 after 30 tests. I think we give up on players too quickly (HUGHES)
Hughes WILL score a century next test, I thought that this last test, but Shane 'I run out people' Watson went and ran him out so next test he'll do it.
