Exactly what makes you think he didn't have support in the first place? By that reckoning every guy who has made runs in the 4th innings (Yuvi's hundreds?) would have been match winning.. I mean, lets now just blame Sachin for not giving enough support to help Yuvi win the matches... This is juz stupid reasoning. IN an innings where 5 batsmen get 50+ (maybe it is 4, but Dravid had 40), it is absolutely stupid to say a batsman got NO SUPPORT.. which is what you posted.
Ultimately the innings only contributed saving face for India, showing fight and giving some Momentum.Looking the best is one thing... If that is the case, there is a lot of 30s by a lot of batsmen when they have gotten out as the last specialist batsmen...
And for your other point of it achieving nothing, the same can be said of Sachin's innings then.. What did it exactly achieve for the team? NOTHING..![]()
lol.. addressing me or the mirror there with your last line?Ultimately the innings only contributed saving face for India, showing fight and giving some Momentum.
Which matters but not that much.
But it could have contribute a whole lot more if he had more support.
ultimately 3 50's were not enough if you are looking to bat more than 2 days to save a match.
Sachin was not out 110+ at the end and had anyone else give him support for 2 sessions more ,the match could have saved.
I don't know what's that hard to understand there, and why you are arguing just for the sake of it.
who the hell use to praise Manjrekar's technique looks such a **** house batsman from these clips.

during the 90's I remember people use to talk how technically correct he is ofcourse at that I did not understand the game so just took the words that were fed to me yeah its harsh to judge him on 2-3 balls but he did look very ordinary in that footage.Someone praised Manjrekar's technique ? I had no idea to be honest. I have never seen him bat, but nothing I have read about Indian cricket suggests he was a great batsman, or even close to being great. As far as I know, he was an average batsman who had one very good series in Pakistan in the late 80s.
In that situation 40's and 50's was not adequate support.lol.. addressing me or the mirror there with your last line?
Anyways, I don't understand about NO SUPPORT. Of course, he could have gone better with "more support" but it is just as likely he would have been dismissed for 115 as well... It is not like it is a given he is gonna remain not out forever or anything... I do agree he looked great and had someone batted with him for more time, it would have been better. But that could be said about most innings, including Dhoni in the same game in the first dig, where Sachin would be one of the culprits of not proving "more support""..
But my whole point is he had a LOT of support in the first place, which is why he got anywhere near a 100.. Dhoni with 90 and others with 60,80 and 40 odds all played their parts... It was not some one man show where it would have been different and it definitely DEFINITELY was not a case of Sachin batting with "no support".. which is my argument here.. Go read up what you said if you still have doubts..
lol.. I am saying he won't have gotten where did without any support.. If you said this could have been a great knock had he had more support, yes, that is understandable, to an extent.. But to say he got no support, when he was outscored in a partnership by another batsman, is silly to say the least.. I don't understand why that is so difficult. But then again, you seem to have a real issue with just about any criticism (or something resembling criticism) of Sachin.. It is obvious from all your posts, so we will just leave it at that.. There is no point going back and forth when it is obvious that you have issues accepting that Sachin can ever do anything wrong.. At least, let us not waste forum membes time with more posts on this.. Just agree to disagree. In that situation 40's and 50's was not adequate support.
Don't know where you are going with that whole no support thing.
Has there been a single 100 scored with every other batsmen not scoring more than 10 ever? Because that would be the literal meaning of " no support" ,if you want to take it from the literal sense.
We were talking about his best knocks and i meant that this could have been on of his best knocks and among the top overall had he had support.
And that is true. It was a good knock but in the end he was left alone ,when in fact he could have scored a 170 or a double to save the match for India.
Maybe he would have gotten out ,but he didn't have the chance because of "no support" in the end.
Don't know what you are not getting.
Now we are going to resort to personal criticism.lol.. I am saying he won't have gotten where did without any support.. Really? First? That is news to me..Now we are going to resort to personal criticism.
And i think you should visit the match thread and see that i was the first one to criticise Sachin yesterday when he threw it away and have also criticised him on many other occasions.
And Beside look who's talking.
You are the one who's a Major Brian Lara fan, and it pains you to see Sachin doing so well and really pulling away from Lara.
So you resort to criticism on every petty issue you can find and also try to criticise any praise he gets.
Not only that you seem the old fashioned type defensive Indians who just can't beleive Indians can't be the best in the world at anything and keep criticising each other.
Partly due to disbelief and partly due to jealousy.
In any case we found a meeting point in the first part of your post ,so i rest it at that.
I definitely got that feel when he said Sachin had "no support" during this last 100.. FFS, he was outscored by Dhoni during their partnership. Surely, that counts as "some" support..What is the point of these last two posts?
HB, no offense, if you play the poster rather than the post, people are bound to get a bit riled up.. I don't think Cevno is a blind Sachin fanboy FWIW.
