To be fair, we haven't batted great but a couple of the wicket balls have been jaffas. Hussey's, Clarke's and Johnson's were beautiful balls.

BARNES OUT
Haha why walk in that situation? It's gonna be given anyway but it's not the brightest time to walk, when you're 7/70-odd and England have no challenges.

That said, maybe I'm crediting Johnson with too much intelligence. The man does have a sleeve tattoo which looks as though it was done with texta by a 5 year old.

Modern day batters (not going to just blame Aussies because England and 99% of players do it aswell) are **** anytime the ball moves. The roads that have been served up over last ten years has killed technique.
Exactly. Like a bunch of school boys.

It's got to be said the Oz bowlers will fancy bowling on this.
Jimmy's bowling that little bit quicker at 87-88mph.

If I was a Ozzy fan i would be furious ,good bowling but what the **** was that.
Yeah, it's ****ing piss poor to be honest. The bowling has been good, with Hughes probably the only one to throw his wicket away. There's also been a complete lack of application from most batsmen though in every innings since the second in Brisbane (apart from Hussey really).

On recent form, this effort was much more likely than them scoring 400 or 500 I guess. Can't really be surprised that Hussey goes early and we score **** all afterward.

Mitch's duck means he'll get 0 for 300 as his confidence is shot, so it's game over

Hmm, some people here being a bit harsh one feels. Can't bowlers just get wickets any more through their own good bowling?

Need to just have a slog and get out there bowling while the moisture's still lingering.

Sky showing the wickets again now - only the ball to get Hughes would you say was an average ball and all 4 of Anderson's wickets were excellent deliveries.

I think Hussey, Johnson & Rhino on their own pretty much managed to hide the fact that the Oz XI was a wee bit unbalanced at Perth. I think those chickens are coming home to roost a bit here.

5 seamers at the MCG is a bit of a nonsense, surely? Especially when it means playing a leg spinner at six who's clearly a place or two too high at this stage of his development.
