Been pretty average the Blues so far, let's hope their reduction to ten men can help. We've not looked nearly enough threatening yet though.

City is the name, City is the name, £300m just to shout handball, City is the name.

Glad they lost, jumped up bunch of tossers.

I love how he was complaining about not getting decent money to spend in summer.

The Inter squad won everything last year. He probably wants to sell Sneijder and bring in Gareth Barry.
Hahah yeah, this is exactly what I was thinking as well. "the team is not good enough in it's present state", yes of course not Rafa...

Christopher Samba:'If this is the way the club's going to be run from now on, I don't want to be part of it and I want to leave,' he told the Sun.

'As captain it's very difficult to say this but I've thought long and hard about it. Nobody in football understands the decision to sack Sam.

'We could have been relegated last year and Sam saved the club, so how can he be treated like this now?'

Please do this Arsene, please.

edit: Seriously, this guy would be an insane signing for us.

Although his avid backing of Sam Allardyce makes me think his footballing culture won't quite fit in at Arsenal. Pep Guardiola was talking last season about how a passing team is only as good as its weakest link- I guess that's why Wenger hasn't already bought a Samba already- but it would be pretty interesting to see that tested.

Samba is so good. Best defender Rovers have had since Colin Hendry and he is a better center forward than Bendtner as well.

Pretty easy for him to make these sorts of statements when he has Xavi and Iniesta running around in midfield tbh.

At the same time, the fact that his back 4 and goalkeeper are so good on the ball means it's easier to get the ball to them.

I don't think Valdes's distribution is particularly good TBH (though he has turned into a very underrated goalkeeper and an excellent shot-stopper for Barcelona), often looks dodgy when he's closed down. Pique and Puyol rarely put him under pressure though.
