shut the **** up. both of you
It became very clear to me sitting out there today that every decision I've made in my entire life has been wrong. My life is the complete opposite of everything I want it to be. Every instinct I have, in every aspect of life, be it something to wear, something to eat - it's all been wrong.

Of all the wicketkeepers in the country, Nevill is probably ranked last, he's not even the full time BACKUP at his own state. To "speculate" as you put it, that in the fullness of time that he may be considered by SOMEONE for international duties, sight unseen and without any reasoning besides a couple of stats, defies belief, as does defending that by saying it was merely "speculative". I feel like tearing my eyes out when I read thinking like that.

You're quoting yourself, vicariously.

Got_Spin on Marcus North:

"Yeah he's just temporarily out of form. He'll be right"

"North took our only second innings wicket. Give him a break"

"North also has invaluable test experience"

Don't make me go there.
I think my views on North are fairly well known considering I was willing to wear a dress if I was to be proven wrong plus my bets against him scoring centuries. Your views on Siddle aren't as well projected.

You'll have to do a little better than that I'm afraid

Aus under 25 side:

Maddison
Hughes
Khawaja (c)
Lynn
Smith
Wade+
Henriques
Cutting
Copeland
Holland
George

12th Hastings

Some great bowling/all round prospects there, but the batting cupboard is pretty much at the "all or nothing" stage, with some fantastic players but noone else of note.
While compiling this list I realised how good Lynn's figures actually are. He's averaging over 50 at the moment, which is more than pretty much everyone else under 25. Not only that but he plays for QLD. That's something to get excited about!

Only 9 matches though. At one point Smith was averging well above 50 too, but now is only averaging low 40's. Unfortunately for most, the only way is down.

That's reminds me of something I wanted to say before though: what do you think are the minimum amount of FC matches required to get a more 'true' representation of someone's ability as a batsmen/bowler (when their average begins to flatline somewhat)? I'd hazard a guess at 30 matches, but I'm not really sure.

Three or four seasons I reckon. So whatever that number is

Unfortunately for Henriques I don't think he's done anything really to be in such a side. Still time though I suppose

It can be less for bowlers I reckon. Batsmen have the problem of being technically exposed
It's funny you should say tha actually, because I was thinking it would be the opposite? I would have thought bowlers would need more matches because it is easier as a bowler to flukely get wickets (batsmen holing out etc.) and hence distort your figures.

There really is noone else who has done enough in the under 25 age bracket to warrant a spot. He's got very close to the highest batting average of the contracted players not in my list (I think there's a Victorian under 25 who has an average around 3 points higher) and is handy with the ball.

Also, Henriques is only 23 so he has a lot of time left to peak.

Obviously we'll never see this side actually play, but it does give you an indication of the future talent waiting in the wings.
