Yeh - can't see us getting within 150, and quite possibly not within 200.

Kudos to Hussey - I can't remember many times in the last 40 years when an opposition batsman's been so consistent against us. Maybe carrying their top 6 will wear him out before long. Trouble is, you'd expect Ponting & Clarke to do something before the series is out.

I wonder whether the decision to allow Anderson to fly back for the birth of his child will take a real bashing now. He's not been at his best, and the Aus recovery on Day 1 would have been a whole lot less likely if we had two bowlers performing at their best.

Yeah if you bowl kangaroo **** outswing and take no wickets you're just unlucky. And even if it means you'll be 'unlucky' forever and consistently be a detriment to the team, that's still okay.

Problem with Hilfenhaus is that except for the occasional spell (or ball or two really) he just swing it from the hand. I don't see what coming wider would do either, he is more likely to bowl it gun barrel straight. And being economical doesn't necessarily mean putting pressure on, Heals.

tbf, Hilfenhaus has bowled pretty decently this test.

Tends to bowl a bit too wide though.
