A consistent, definite system such as half-a-ball is all well and good - and important for the credibility of the system - but geez I wouldn't have complained if the third ump had said "well, orange light... but gee that looks dead to me"

Reckon that was hitting tbh. But...fans of league will realise that if it's too close to call, they'll give it to the attacking team (in this case it what the original decision was) or let the umpire decide.

Just got home, am happy with how this is going so far...nice shot M.Hussey!

This Smith kid is still hanging around too it seems, although reading a bit of this thread it seems he's been a bit lucky.

Watto  Predictable, but good effort to get 95.

Hussey is such a limited batsman. He only plays pace by using the pull, cover drive and leave. What makes him so great is he executes all three so well.

And the leg glance, and the cut, and the sweep, and the square drive, and now we're starting out of shots we can name.

Haha, that's over-simplifying things a bit.
Definitely. But there have been a number of occasions this series where Hussey has been struggling to find touch, but by relying on his three strong points he has made it through the tricky periods.

His idol was the great AB mate.

11,174 runs with a pull, cut and a cover drive.

Good move by Huss imo, Swann does change his pace and flight frequently.
Yeah fair point, and if you're sweeping you expose yourself to the LBW if you misjudge it. Fair enough I guess.

Immaculate shot.

How awesome is Smith's follow through? Almost ends up behind his head!

Ugh this is grim stuff.

Bowled a bit better the last 6 or 7 overs but don't feel a wicket is coming.

If we can just get one before the new ball I will feel a lot happier. :@
