*Official* Third Test at the WACA

They're staggered for a ****ing reason! Both go for that and they don't get in the way of eachother.

Still Strauss looks a walking wicket.

Watson should have gotten into position, many times I see the keeper taking a catch with first slip in position too just waiting.

.
Not so sure about that, just got a good nut, probably shouldn't have pushed that wide & should learn from it. If these two can get through another 15 overs of this ball, she'll be a long day for the crims

Hmmm, even if it was the keepers catch you'd at least expect the first slip to get into position to catch it, not just watch it go by.

Strauss definately struggling Cook looks solid as a rock though (hopefully not the kiss of death).

Could've been caught 3 times and yet our great Aussie fielding unit is yet to get a hand to one of them

Indeed. Don't know what's gone on with our slip cordon but it's become terribad.

He could've been out three times already tbf. Doesn't matter though, give as many chances as you like if the other side doesn't take them.

That boundary rubs it in to Harris a bit.

Feel sorry for him, bowled well in Adelaide and got no luck and was so unlucky today.

Here is a classic case of seeing what is the difference between a good wicket keeper and a bad one - a really bed one.

Forget who should have taken the catch. Just watch Haddin's feet. He doesn't move them an inch !!

The ball pitches well outside the off stump. He should naturally be moving to his left towards the line of the ball but so much are the modern wicket keepers used to last minute flinging themselves at the ball that footwork which would take you comfortably, walking, to where the ball would end up, would have made all the difference.

All those who see that the ball was a fraction closer to the 1st slip than to the keeper completely forget that the slip (forget a snick) is a stationary fielder) while the keeper is supposed to be moving towards the natural line of delivery.

This is atrocious wicket keeping and a glaring example of how the difference between good and bad keeping is hardly noticed nowadays

Pitch it up, pitch it up, pitch the ****ing thing up!

Also, don't set fields for **** deliveries...and don't drop your head when there's one missed catch, just get it in the same areas again and get on with it. Ponting's body language after the missed chance was terrible.

I missed that last 30 mins or so yesterday, however as we speak he's starting to look in some sort of nick

Interesting post, but regardless of what Haddin does or doesn't do Watson should still be getting into position to catch it. He doesn't move until after the ball passes him.
