*Official* Third Test at the WACA

The series is going but one way- that is , towards a crushing 4-0 win to England. Austalia are beat and shot. The result will reflect a need for major change. If there was a possibility of deciding it in Sydney, then there wouldn't be so much talk about how **** our team is. Fact is, there is talk, because our team and set up are utterly ****.
Australia will get the caning they deserve for having pathetic planning, leadership and management. England are too strong and that's just the way it goes. A 5-0 win for England would be a)the just result b)better for Aus in the future, as there would probably only then be the appropriate overhaul (not just the team, but the incompetant cowardly coach and selectors), as opposed to deluding themselves if the series win was somehow miraculously delayed till sydney

After years of you lot stuffing us and it being over after 3 tests i disagree.

I want us to win this here and now and rub it in even more in Melbourne and Sydney by winning there too.
If Australia don't come out and bowl well this morning you could well get your wish. Personally, I can't see us turning things around to beat England in any of the tests at the moment. Something special from a couple of bowlers today could change that, but I just can't see us being consistent enough. Even if someone does a Siddle again today.

Nah there would be some knee jerk changes but nothing fundamentally would happen

Well some are more selfish than others. It'd be better for cricket if the series went down to the 5th test and far more entertaining
if the australian team want to 'entertain', they should stop being so spineless, bat with some patience (clarke, ponting) and heart, and bowl to a plan. That will 'entertain' more than the dross they've served up so far, regardless of the result

Obviously. I don't mean 20/20 entertainment either

It would probably do you more longterm harm if you were to make a go of it to be honest. A crushing defeat now and action will need to be taken and will be taken. A creditable 2-1 defeat or a drawn series and that will just paper over the cracks and not a lot will happen especially to the selectors who appear to be the major problem at present.

If we win in Perth, I want us to do a Border in Melbourne, bat first and bat for 3 days.

Nah I disagree. There will be changes no matter what. We don't like battling in our own backyard.

Actually I don't know. Maybe there will be
i think there has to be. read the papers, people are getting restless. dont think the public and past players speaking in the media will tolerate no action. every day there seems to be cutting articles about the team. surely if they lose heavily (which they will, most probably), severe action will be the only choice.

**** it will be hilarious when we roll England here and win on Boxing Day too.

There will be changes made regardless of the series outcome, the age of the team aside from anything else necessitates it.

By the talk around here you would think it was 3-0 already. This is why people hate England winning - you don't do it very often, and as a result you're not very good at it.

Like India.

ahahh the presumptious, arrogant, egotistical and dismissive aussie attitude without the team to back it up. I feel this will end badly for you, brother. Like a drug addict in denial, you will soon come to terms with the reality, and have to lose this bravado and delusion.

Seems tho only people who haven't been "good at winning" recently have been Australia- snapping defeat from the jaws of victory so many times after having the other side 9 down

I think you should take some time to read Burgey's back catalogue of posts first.

He's the optimist we need right now!

Well mate, as someone who's followed the Australian team since about 1975 I think I'm pretty well au fait with the ups and downs of it all, actually. But please feel free to educate me on my own attitude from having done so.

It's 1-0. If you don't think a decent enough bowling performance here can go a long way towards levelling up the series, then I think you've misread the scoreline.
Edit: I'm off to the tonsorial parlour. Think I'll get a Stuart Broad do.. Colour and all. Be back in seven hours when the colour's right.

Does it seem odd to anyone else that Beer isn't even 12th man for the Aussies now? He's playing in the shield match that just started today.
