I don't understand people saying England haven't bowled that well.. 3 wickets + 5-6 half chances, what more do you want?

Because while they have got some balls in the right areas, a lot of the edginess, and definitely Clarke and Ponting's wickets, have mainly been the result of distinctly average batting.

They have bowled well, but no where near well enough to warrant a scorecard like this. Think it has been woeful batting more than anything so far.

What's his average at #4? Like, 15? 20? What's his average at #5? Like, 55, isn't it?

Pretty obvious to me. Hussey@4 and Clarke back to 5. Was worth a shot but it's definitely not working.
Clarke can't keep hiding behind others all his life tbh, he just needs to understand his responsibility and bat accordingly. The recklessness with which he has been chucking his wicket away through the series won't have helped even if he was batting #5 or #6.

This followed by Ind vs. SA...it's going to be like 12 hours of non stop Test cricket between the top four sides in cricket.

It's nirvana.

Even if I have work tomorrow.

If Australia had the ability to leave the ball then a majority of those wickets and chances wouldn't have happened. There have been some good balls, but there haven't been many unplayable deliveries, just decent bowling in areas you'd expect decent batsman to leave the ball alone/survive.

Well maybe we have to stop thinking about him as future captain etc. and just let him bat. We need the Clarke of 07, 08, 09 back. He was just so fidgety and nervous and all over the place today.

And now...
