The second penalty claim begs the question. What the **** is the point of these 5/6th referee's if they miss clear fouls right under their noses... What else are they watching? Bebatov had one that was blatent the other week, Kalou i think it was tonight missed out. Clueless.

BBC Sport - Football - Asian body urges Fifa to reschedule 2022 World Cup

You can almost hear the can of worms opening here. If they actually do manage to reschedule it then that's going to require for all of the major european leagues and the champions league to be completely reorganised as well. Due to the financial implications this may have, with TV deals etc... I don't imagine a lot of people involved in this process would be particularly happy with this sort of arrangement, to say the least.

It won't change dates (the FIFA reaction to the last time it was suggested was that nations were invited to bid for the competition in June & July 2022)

If that happens UEFA should stick two fingers up at FIFA and refuse to reschedule their tournaments or release any players involved in UEFA tournaments.

Not sure where the surprise is coming from here. They had to move next year's Asia Cup to January because Qatar in the European summer is madness. Always on the cards, possibly the only way you can have a football tournie there.

Arsenal were ****, really really **** but somehow got the win. They played that game at half pace and considering the stakes it was dismaying. Just glad it's over and we can live to fight another day.
