Bollinger looking as positive in his body language as a Munaf Patel or an Ashish Nehra.

Tough times.

Aussies praying for rain in itself brings a huge amount of satistfaction.

Great innings from Pietersen, cannot think of the last time England have got double centurians in consecutive tests.
Last time England managed it in an Ashes series was 1938. Remarkably few doubles given the volume of Ashes cricket. Pietersen's was number thirteen, of which Hammond is responsible for four.

I have completely changed my tone re: the declaration.

Let's declare... No cheap wickets for them... so no momentum shifts that are so common in this situation, plus the looming inclement weather.

Anderson to get Katich early... Swann to get the 9for100 tomorrow, job done.

Anderson to get Katich early... Swann to get 7-100 tomorrow and KP 2-120 as the spinners bowl the whole day due to gloom and rain in the air.

We have been usless at making really big scores for at least as long as I have been watching cricket, is one reason why I am enjoying this current scoring spree quite so much.

the aussies do look absolutely knackered aswel, might be good to deny them a sleep before batting.

KP a dozen or so short of his career best -- would Strauss declare without giving him a shot at it?

Goodness I missed pre lunch session. Just caught the HLs and what batting by KP after passing the ton! The 3 pulls with 3 fielders on the leg side fence was simply vintage kp.

Xavier Sami enjoying his last spell in international cricket.
Either that or he'll play another ten Tests before being dumped with an average of 100. Selectors seem to vacillate between intransigence and indecisiveness at the moment.

I'm praying for rain. England can bat for 2 whole days, so surely we should be able to as well and save the test. But we all know that it won't happen :(

Swann to get 2 - 153
