*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

Doherty would have to be one of the least inspired selections ever. About time selectors take first class averages of spinners into account before selecting them. The SS competition probably has less depth than ever so the average of forty-eight was pretty revealing.

Collingwood's already deployed the miserable leave-alone and the nurdle. Ominous. When he starts to unfurl the nudge and the shovel, watch out Australia

So what's so tough about making runs in a Lord's test when it's so flat they called the game off early? And Steyn and co. went into that game with very little preparation. They improved as the tour went on. In the middle tests when they bowled well KP didn't play any matchwinning innings.
Think you're clutching at straws tbh

KP is a very fine player (but not as good as either he or his PR team will tell you he is)

Pietersen came in with us not many for two, in his first test against SA. Fair to say there was a bit of pressure on him. the deck was flat, but it's worth mentioning that SA followed on in that game.

As mentioned, they went into the match with little preparation but soon found their feet.

Not denying KP is a very good player. Just get sick of the 'he's a genius' lines each time he makes a score. To nobody's surprise he's made runs this game. On a very flat pitch, against this attack, in hot weather, you'd expect nothing less of a player of his calibre once Cook and co. had set it up for him. He also made a ton in the corresponding match last tour; Collingwood made a double one. He loves the Adelaide Oval.

Who's the left arm medium-fast bowler bowling exclusively leg cutters from the other end Siddles bowling at?

I thought people usually criticised KP for not getting runs when it was easy because he was bored and played a silly shot, not that he failed when it was tough.
