Whatever it takes!!!
Should go to the bowler every time.
Yea, especially nowadays when everything seems to be in favour of the batsmen.

Well, I won't mind it if they went that way. I do think batsmen should always get benefit of the doubt but I believe even more strongly in a more consistent administration of the way marginal decisions will be called with UDRS. Leaving it back to the original umpire's decision is just a little too dodgy and variable for my liking.

IMHO, There shouldn't be anything like a marginal call, If Hawkeye says it as much as touched the stump, Batsman should be given out. I know there is 0.3% margin of error with Hawkeye or something but the benefits outweigh the tiny loss; The need for umpiring subjectivity for LBW calls would be completely eliminated.

Can someone also tell me why there are only 2 referrals instead of 3? I only got to know when I was watching theer rates Ashes. I was like wtf.

2 referrals is nothing..
Guess its got something to do with the alarming slow over rates nowadays. Maybe an inside reason for india not accepting the udrs is because of their already paltry over rates:ph34r:

considering we play a spin heavy attack, it is really criminal. :)

With the indians being losers with the udrs i dont think the technology would ever be used by them. I bet if they lose the world cup the blame would fall on the inefficiency of this technology like they did with the srilankan tour

Steyn got some terrible pitches in the UAE which did hit his average and SR for the worse. I wonder how well he would do now that he would be back on home turf?????

Steyn doesn't rely on pitches for his wickets. Superb bowler for all conditions. Was just rusty I think returning from injury in the UAE.

I don't know. The pitches must help him a lot or is he a 2Ws type of bowled and lbw bowler???

Steyn averages 23.29 at home, 22.94 away and 20.23 in India(Which has the most wicked combination of batsman + pitches atm)

No I didn't. I see history repeating itself. India will go out in the semis. That is my prediction.
India have a better bowling attack and what more they seem to produce the goods when it's needed - even if they aren't separately great bowlers. They have a fantastic line-up and I think the Tendulkar/last WC factor will play a role.

Yeah he was awesome in Nagpur taking that 10fer but also took 5 in that bloody Ahmedabad pitch on the 1st morning and didn't do much in the other games in Chennai, Kanpur and Kolkata. Went for plenty infact. Still, that Nagpur spell was just incredible. When he's bowling like that I don't know what we can do.

better bowling attack than???? I do agree that India during the 00s have produced the goods when needed at other times they have faltered badly when they were expected to do well (wc 07, champions trophy key match etc). And history is against them. I see history repeating itself also because there isn't daylight between India and competitors. However I also don't see them faltering before the semi-finals.
