As much as I hate North for being given such a free ride by the selectors, one can't debate that all his 100's have been scored in pressure situations, so for Australia' sake hope he gets another 100 here.

Ah, thank God for that. Though North doesn't look like surviving too long..

Agree with whoever criticized Broad's action. Don't like the way his left hand falls away at all.

Nah he does actually... he's started this innings in the style of the "I'm Marcus North and I want a hundred" innings

That's a superb shot there too

He's faced 50+ balls now. Danger signs...

North has to be one of the most stylish batsmen when he is in full flight. Extremely elegant.

Going back to Clarke, is he possibly actually coming back into form?

At Brisbane he wouldn't have been able to edge Anderson if he'd been bowling beachballs at him. This time he got a good nut early and edged it.

Half tongue-in-cheek, half serious with this point.
Look mate, I don't get this whole Clarke is out of form bull****...!!! He scored a 100 in an ODI in India, then looked pretty good even in the ODI series against the Lanks and then he went onto to ton up in the Shield game in which he did his back.
For me he is just playing on with an injury against a pretty good bowling attack and its something that's doing no good to either him or the team.

This test looks well set up. I'm hoping to see a result, mind. Too many tests of late have ended in draws and it's not good for the game.

Nah.. the more I watch North the more he reminds me of Yuvraj, languid cover drives, loose defense, huge backlift etc. Lara was a lot wristier and had much much better footwork.
