Yeah, given current form I think I'd like him to play. But from my feelings before the series, especially when I saw he'd scored 100 and taken 5 wickets, I will be glad to see him go. If he goes now, I don't see him coming back this series.
Well thats not true, he was superb against Bangladesh. His line and length was consistently perfect and he was up there with his pace. You can say "oooh it was Bangladesh" all you want but it doesn't make your statement any less false. When he can start to do that more consistently I think we'll see even more out of him, especially considering he's still taking wickets despite being poor, apparently.
Agreed with this. Johnson is the best bowler among the playing 22. One poor match for both Hilfenhaus and Johnson, and to me logic dictates that the former has to go first, based on both past accomplishments and on potential.

why? england are most probably the better team. aus has no plans or leadership. england are far more skilled, have a better attitude and arebetter prepared. provided they keep playing with their current attitude, and aus keep playing with theirs, strauss side deserve it. aus cant just rest on past laurels and think that just because theyre in home conditions, getting beaten is an absolute shock. the only reason aus had such a good home record as of late was that they were bloody well prepared when the touring team landed. now, theyre not. they have no idea what theyre doing, are in denial and are poorly led, by both the captain and the 'coach'.

exactly, and its the ashes. as said above, its a war. 1 poor match from 2 of our specialist bowlers could mean huge consequences. if they dont have the balls to understand that, and not take being left out after a pathetic performance, to heart, then they shouldn't be playing international cricket.
