Incidentally, regarding Tuffey batting at 7 in this game, was just reading an article on Stuff saying this:

Interestingly, the word around the camp is that the Black Caps will also look to use this Indian series as an opportunity to test out the credentials of Daryl Tuffey as an all-rounder.

He batted very well in a couple of test matches last summer and has worked hard on his batting in the nets.

He'll bat at No 8 in this series and I believe his future is as an all-rounder rather than simply as a first-change bowler in the side.

Sounds like an idea doomed for failure tbh.

Haha. The thing about most NZ's bowling all-rounders is that they've had most success when concentrating on bowling and just having a fair whack at batting. Making the effort to try and do both doesn't really work.

Haha, have thought that on many occasions, it's almost as if becoz he's relatively mild-mannered off the field that umpires let him away with the most outrageous hissy-fits

You're being kind calling him a bowler. He's a "bowler".
I really, really hope he bowls significantly differently in First Class cricket because if he has 100 odd FC wickets @ 30 bowling darted straight breaks (quite literally) then something has gone very wrong with the world. I remember hearing something about him bowling leg spin at one stage.
