Nice 50 by the skipper, needs to go on and make a biggy now.

Good to see he has beaten that horrible wretched run of getting out early the next morning after being not out overnight.

Have to say, I really enjoyed Warne's commentary. Very analytical, giving little pointers about technique and various players' weaknesses and strong points and none of the buddy-buddy crap that permeates the other C9 commentators.

Yes, on SKY, with Atherton, I was enjoying a similar conversation between the two of them, really insightful.
100 up with a lovely shot.

This is when Australia has problems. Strauss in touch is such a compact player that it's hard to know where to bowl to him.

EDIT: As I speak he almost plays on

As Gower just said on Sky, he played that shot a lot in Bangladesh to Shakib and the other spinners and it worked very well for him.

He obviously executed it better than that though.
Not sure its a good shot against X though. Puts more overspin and gets more bounce. Better off playing him with the straight bat.

I like the way Sky keep putting up that the match coverage is from Channel 9 so as to point out that the crap camera work and stupid replays are nothing to do with them.

That would be good. Athers is decent value as a commentator. Better than the insipid Hussain and reactionary Botham in my opinion. Down here, Chappel is probably the next best, Greig and Lawry are hit and miss and I don't mind Taylor. Healy is a shocker though and bloody Mark Nicholas can piss right off.

Johnson doing his best to make sure that Australia's opinion of bogans barely breaks even after this Test.

EDIT: Ok, that ball wasn't bad.
