*Official* First Test at the Gabba

King Pietersen

International Captain
This is what I was worried about with Haddin. Looked all over the place in the first 45 minutes. His feet weren't moving, had no timing and was throwing his hands at the ball; but since then, as he's gained in confidence and got his eye in, he's looked good. Well played, now GTFO.

 Mate he was in sublime form all through the innings. It's not like Anderson has been bowling pies the last spell.

I think this might be the most frustrating session I've ever watched.

Will be burning an effigy of Aleem Dar in the morning FTR.

Nah, it's being overstated. There were a few airy, fairy wafts outside off and on a different day he would've snicked off for 22.

It's not being overstated because it's Haddin we are talking about. I guarantee that this is what Haddin looks like in good form. He isn't a great batsmen so you can't expect his innings to be flawless even when he is in good touch.

Briony

International Debutant
Australia could turn the screws now the pressure is starting to come off.

England will be disappointed being wicketless so far with a new ball and some cloud cover to work with.

Don't these are particularly that useful... I mean there's a bit around in the air and a few are nibbling off the pitch but remember before this series he supposedly never bowled wlel in any conditions other than thick, grey, typically English clouds.
Remember how he was smashed about by Tamim when the the clouds began to thin?
So we could only imagine how badly carted he was going to get in Australia 8-)

Whatever, going back to what I said before this series... this performance is something that the Anderson of 06/07 was genuinely incapable of producing. He's a completely different bowler nowadays.
Nah mate, that's not what was said. Think you get a little irrational to be honest.
