I always knew that. As said many times Haddin could bat in the top 6 and be quite decent if given the chance. The difference for mine is how much better Haddin is with the stick than prior.
Nah, they're pretty even. Prior getting a duck in one innings doesn't change that. The difference for mine is how much better Haddin is with the stick than prior.
I really don't think there will be any criticism if this ends on day four.Best cricketing pitch in yonks no doubt but there will be some anger at a 4 day Test from certain circles I reckon. Particularly one that draws as many as the Ashes.
It's going to go into the fifth day, unless one side collapses. We've had two days already and we're still only 15 wickets down.If this match ends on day 4 will this pitch get a heap of criticism from the media?
Yeah, I mean plenty of test matches end on day 4. It's neither here nor there really, shows both batting and bowling were given a chance. Would slightly favour the bowling, but that's most people's preference anyway.I really don't think there will be any criticism if this ends on day four.
Gabba, just out of a wet season, I highly doubt it.Pitch has been ok, I'm sure we'll see plenty worse as the series goes on.
I mean in the country.Gabba, just out of a wet season, I highly doubt it.
The pitches won't be that flat really, apart from perhaps Adelaide. That's what I meant.
SCG pitch last year was pretty green, but that was because the ground staff did that on purpose. I think they will be trying to make it flatter for this Ashes series. Also the rain can't continue for too long, pretty sure the sun will start baking most of the pitches as the series goes on.

So because Prior copped a first-baller Haddin is now the difference? Laughable logic. And as for the 09 Ashes? Firstly what a joke but not a surprise to see an Englishman judged purely on one series. And secondly, yes Haddin was statistically superior to Prior last time out, but after Cardiff what exactly did he do?I always knew that. As said many times Haddin could bat in the top 6 and be quite decent if given the chance.
I don't understand why many people rate Prior with the bat, from what I've seen of him, especially from the last Ashes series, he really is quite dire.

Not much between them IMO.
LOL yay!CricInfo call it the Brisbane Cricket Ground
But I'll change it to keep you happy
Matt Prior is okay with the bat. Whether or not he is better than Brad Haddin is debatable, but he certainly knows one end of the bat from the other.I always knew that. As said many times Haddin could bat in the top 6 and be quite decent if given the chance.

Perth can be a bit flat Days 3-4-5The pitches won't be that flat really, apart from perhaps Adelaide.
I reckon it's going to be a bit faster.Perth can be a bit flat Days 3-4-5
