*Official* First Test at the Gabba

Not a betting man (other than the one time which shall never again be spoken of) but I'm going to go right ahead and tip Watto to be nailed by Broad on the crease within the first half-hour of play.
Am keeping my fingers crossed you're spot on.

Hope we get Katich early, he really isn't good to watch for any length of time.

Swann has never, ever bowled as badly as Johnson has at his worst. Not even remotely as badly.

Don't think any Test spearhead has. Not many guys become the leader of the attack and then fall to bits as spectacularly as Johnson does.

Tipping him for 9-fer in the second dig, tbh.

Still far better to watch than Crabman though TBF.
Really? Blocking back half volleys outside off the whole time because he couldn't drive a bumper car?

Personally think Katich can get a rough run, I really don't think that he's that ugly to watch at all. A little bottom handed, but it's what makes cricket; he's certainly not particularly slow.

Cook's technically all over the place, but to me he's more aesthetically pleasing than Katich. There's just something about Katich that just annoys me when watching him. The awkward shuffle, the way he's always flicking the ball to fine leg, just an irritating man to watch bat. I guess it's all personal opinion at the end of the day, but for me, there's no worse top-order batsman in the world to watch than Simon Katich.

Excellent end to the over. If Broad sticks to that length he could definitely get some joy, just needs to be patient.
