*Official* Pakistan v South Africa in Dubai

Prince is painful to watch. SA batsmen totally bogged down here.

Smith's hand is fractured yet again!!!!!!!!!!!

SA will hang on for a draw thanks to Prince. He's certainly leaving nothing to chance.

The slow RR shows how terrified SA is of losing.

Haha. Just seems strange that a guy who South Africa could not get after and tied a few of the players up in knots hasn't been giving a go here. Anyhow, Kallis better be in first innings mode. Don't need any 50 strike rates in this innings.
Don't worry, he made damn sure he wasn't going to go at 50!

Pakistan lives to fight another day....

One thing i must say is that i am impressed with this B grade Pak side. They have essentially held off the 2nd best Test side in the world from winning until the last day of the test series. Mind you, the ODI series was also quite close. So, over all i can't say that i have been disappointed to great levels...Over all.

Yea Pak took the foot off the pedal too early for my liking...there is a lot of turn and bounce on the pitch they should have attacked....

Any how, great contributions from the tail. Abdur Rehman impressed.

All the fasties took quite a thrashing...Gul at over 6 and needless to mention Sami at 5.60....

We desperately need some bowling reinforcements for NZ.

Well said. I agree (being the die-hard fan of Pak cricket that I am).

missing amir and asif but that does'nt make it a b grade side.

With the players in the Indian side at this time, think they well deserve the top spot.
I hope you are talking about only the batting. The Indian bowling seems quite toothless except Zaheer Khan (who is hardly a role model for fitness these days) and Bhajji when he finds form.

The Indian batting though >>> than anybody else at the moment.

No Yousuf, Kamran, Kaneria also.

Not to say that Kamran and Kaneria are outstanding players...but they would have added a lot more value to this team then Adnan and Ajmal did....

.
That more then compensates for the bowling.

yousuf is all class but he's past his best.

Sure is past his best. But the pitches would have suited him imo. Also for Kaneria there was quite a bit of turn in these tracks.

Kamran is a ****ty keeper for sure but his batting would have given depth.

Had there been Amir and Kamran in the tail for the 1st test, i would dare say Misbah would have gone for the chase.....

Akilana has a point : the absence of Mohammad Aamir and Mohammad Asif does make Pakistan weaker, but I am not sure you could call it a "B side". Kamran Akmal is a liability in tests; the runs he scores are nowhere near enough to make up for his dropped catches. Danish Kaneria has been in and out of the side for ages; Mohammad Yousuf has had a good career, but he is clearly past it now. In my opinion, Pakistan will be much better off investing in youth.
