TBF, Kaneria's record against SA is good. Surprised Hafeez hasn't been bowled much in these two tests. Harris has been the best spinner on show but has not looked very threatening. Botha has probably played his last test for a longtime unless he does something second dig.

Questionable claim that he deserved the opportunity to play a Test match at all to be fair. Spends about five years averaging low 30s in franchise cricket and then gets picked to debut as a 28 year old after two decent but not particularly awesome seasons. I don't really get the fascination. Still averages 35 across his franchise career.

Pakistan has been woeful in the little period I have seen them bowl today, instead of going on the defensive straight away they should have attacked in the beginning 50/3 could have put SA on the backfoot and that would have automatically delayed their declaration plans, hoping they loose from here no way I want these tactics to be ever repeated again a draw here might make it their prefered strategy till they reassemble their bowling attack.

It's hard for me because I don't get to see these guys play, but Puttick has a much better statistical case for selection and is of a similar age - plus those two youngsters banging the door down now.

Rudolph's also an opener I believe and is actually younger than Virus - plus has a much better FC record.

Yeah I've always rated Rudolph; I don't know South Africa's stance on him at the moment after his Kolpak stint.
