*Official* New Zealand in India 2010

Minus the bowling duds like Oijha and Sreesanth, India has a rather decent bowling attack.
Well, that is half of India's bowling attack. You could add Harbhajan Singh to that list as well; he has been living off one extraordinary series in 2001 for ages. So that only leaves Zaheer Khan.

Haven't followed the game so far, but still by the look of things seems like the pitch is a mine-field.
Kind of sad to hear about the injuries to likes of Ryder and Baz who were quite comfortably the best of batsmen for the Black Caps.
New Zealand's best hope now is to add as many runs as they can tomorrow and then hope that India too suffers a similar fate when they come out to bat.

It's better than average, Zaheer khan is the best pacer in the subcontinent atm. Supporting bowlers aren't horrible either. So I'd say it's more than handy for a team with such a great batting lineup.awta btw, Dhoni's captaincy is mediocre at best (in tests).
Zaheer Khan is only one bowler; the second pacer and the two spinners have consistently churned out mediocre performance after mediocre performance.

I agree with the bolded part. India's current batting line-up is possibly among the best ever, so it is no surprise that India have done extremely well over the last few years despite an average bowling attack.

As for MS Dhoni's captaincy, the less said the better. India have been winning because of the side they have, not because of his tactical nous. His true test will come when Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman and Virender Sehwag all retire.

The pitch is not a minefield.

Lol NZ. Hand over the avatar SS.

Respect to McCullum and Ryder. An injured Baz or Jess is still>>>>>>>>>>>Subtill/Twatling combined.

Yeah, Singh is off almost all innings he bowls nowadays. Ishant Sharma could be an excellent bowler, if he worked on his form to prevent him from no-balls and countless errors.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Great to see the bad old attitudes come out again. I'm not so pessimistic, and won't judge this match until India have batted and we're at the crease again.

One bad day and it's 'back to normal'. We've competed very well in 2 tests so far so this day is the odd one out. Have a bit of faith, please.

I'm just glad that this is the 3rd test, not the 1st, and the whole series will still be semi-respectable at 1-0. That said, we haven't lost this game yet, I'll still be watching.

Jesse Ryder is such a good batsman. Would rather him on one leg than all the Martin Guptills and BJ Watlings in the world.

Someone needs to make an NZ top three wheel of mediocrity:

Papps
Cumming
Bell
Redmond
How:(
Jarshall
Fulton
Flynn
Guptill
Watling

Ryder's technique just looks impenetrable once he gets in. His backlift is virtually non-existent and he very rarely plays across his pads. How he still manages to generate so much power in his shots is beyond me.
