****, another catch goes down. Sammy this time at slip off Shillingford. Another wicket here would really put the cat amongst the pigeons.

The picture on Cricinfo of Dilshan losing his off stump is a beaut. Hope Windies retain Shillingford, very attacking spinner who has been pretty unlucky this test. Reminds me of Bhaji before he went ****. Ideally you would want him and Benn for the next test and drop the passenger, the captain.

Yeah, Shillingford has always impressed me. I rate him a fair bit higher than Benn TBH.

Pirahna is the worst player in their lineup IMO. Never looked convincing. Even on the flattest of pitches.
Better than Vandork and Tharanga. Not saying much but he looks like he could score runs outside the subcontinent and he tore it up in South Africa on an A tour a few years back.

Sammy's batting numbers aren't good enough even at FC level to call him a proper allrounder IMO. So he needs to offer a bit more with the ball to justify his place.

WI had opportunities to take a couple more in this session, but you'd have to think their chance has passed them by.
