There was no scorecard on the first day, so they didn't know straight away that McIntosh had reached 100, but as soon as he put his bat in the air there was a huge cheer and fantastic applause. I loved that.

It was actually pretty important that Dhoni made a few runs in this innings; a quick 50 would've been really valuable. India were still behind. Exactly why he failed IMO.

Haha yeah, I was just about to post something similar. The crowds been great, espeically today. Like Blakey I find it pretty neat for a good peice of fielding to be acknowledged by the crowd when it's the opposing team doing the work.
