Funny how Sunil Gavaskar said that Martin would be full of confidence after having batted well. He made 3 runs for God's sake

its not the runs but it was how he stayed in the middle which he does very less

in the end the thing is no indian bowler could get him and that will remain so

Welcome to Indian Cricket. We play and often beat the best in the world at their own game but make superstars out of struggling, out of form sides. This has been happening as long as I've been watching Indian Cricket.

But it's got to be said, fair play to New Zealand. Some outstanding, disciplined batting now followed up by enthusiastic fast bowling. India need Sachin and Laxman to carry on, but a New Zealand win is seriously on the cards which would be fantastic for them.

It's going to be an interesting session coming up. I have a feeling that we might see Murali Vijay back for the next game in place of Gambhir who has been in pretty bad form over the past several months.

Hold your horses guys, count how many times we've flattered to deceive. We still need eight Indian wickets and to get the runs without collapsing in a heap.

Given the current situation, would NZ be content with a draw here?
Before the start of the series my answer to that would be "**** yes!"

I'm not so sure now. We've given ourselves a chance of something even better, and it would be a bit disappointing if we couldn't make anything from this opportunity.

This. Great start by the Kiwis but the true test is to see if they can keep it going. Or if they'll do an Australia

It's funny how on Betfair the loss of 3 wickets has not only resulted in NZ odds falling, but India's odds as well:

NZ $8
India $6.4
Draw: $1.4
