Great keeping. That is why you have a specialist with the gloves. 5 or 6 byes for the inning. Couple of half chances put down. Not a bad outting for Hopkins.
The second chance he put down was regulation as far as catches off spinners go.

He kept **** tbh. I think his effort probably is a good example of why you need a specialist gloveman, because he's not one and it cost you with two drops. :p

He'll make a ton though. What a HopGun.

**** off ****. You were bashing him before.
Bashing his batting. Always thought we should have a specialist keeper. Some people were calling for Watling to keep. Just didn't want him at 7 was my major point.

Mind you if he had've messed up with the gloves probably would have said something.

How long were you waiting to say that? :p

I missed his second drop. His first one was forgiveable. Was the second one easy?

Lets see how NZ bats, if they can play out the session with losing just a wicket, and resume well tomorrow, then good.

Interesting to see how NZ's batting does here. Looks good on paper. Taylor-Ryder-Williamson-Vettori is a very useful looking middle-order.

I am pumped for our batting. It is our best batting line up since Fleming left.
I dunno. Taylor, Ryder and Vettori are good batsmen but the Fleming era was far more solid all round than this era. We have three very good test batsmen and one hot prospect. McIntosh is only passable because it is us and McCullum is an experiement. Watling is Watling.

I'd take the old era personally, especially in the subcontinent. Fleming was a God in the subcontinent and the rest of the batsmen in that era were pretty decent against it as well.
