The ball between 1:30 - 1:40 is one of the greatest balls ever. Totally unplayable.

Reckon' there has to be some pathetic batting to get bowled out for 21, but Chahar was freakishly good too.

I have a feeling the next time a new prospect comes up, the management won't **** up and let him follow the footsteps of Ishant and Pathan

The inswingers aren't really that impressive - They start swinging very early and would be picked easily by most good batsmen. But he does have a nice outswinger. Would be interesting to see how he does against better teams.

Not sure I agree with you there mate - those big inswingers, when bowled at a difficult pace, and when coupled with outswingers - are pretty handy weapons.

Bad batsmen or not, some of those deliveries looked impressive. Looks like a very promising prospect for India.

Yeah, I'm more impressed by the fact that he gets the ball going both ways. The outswingers go quite late too.

8fer is wonderful against any opposition, but many of those inswingers took wickets because people were playing across the line of the ball, and playing from the crease.

Awful batting.

Looked like his speed was about high 120s low 130s. Maybe it was quicker but it was nothing like Waqar.

Anyway, good luck to the kid. Hopefully he gets some experience up before going on to National honours.

Ishant and Pathan were both ridiculously overhyped for being average bowlers, especially Pathan. Honestly all Pathan ever did in his career was bowl a half decent in-swinger and he was considered to be the next coming of Wasim Akram.

The bowlers that have actually suffered from poor management are probably Munaf Patel, who really should be leading the Indian pace attack at the moment, and Sreesanth.

Agree that Irfan was overhyped and his downfall has very little to do with management, but Ishant clearly had some talent, and proper management would have harnessed that.

Jesus ****ing Christ, why are we talking about Ishant in past-tense? He's, what, 22?

Anyway, he showed in that second innings spell in Mohali what a top bowler he can be. Just still putting it all together.

Yeah definitely, plenty of time left. To say there isn't anything there to work with is plain wrong IMO.

It's always easy to poke fun at overhyped Indian bowlers, but Ishant and Sree clearly have something to work with.

Irfan, Sree and Munaf look like they're partly to blame for their downfall. Irfan just wasn't as talented with the ball as people thought, Sree is mentally ******** and Munaf is a lazy ****.

Ishant IMO has just been completely mismanaged. He doesn't really seem to be any of the above. Just coaching and technical issues have screwed him.
