Why bother? They're gonna be clinical and awesome. What's to discuss?

NZ, on the other hand, could be any number of different things - promising, yet ****; idiotic and ****; horrendously outclassed and ****; downright pathetic and ****.
Or just plain ****.

Love the NZ fans' enthusiasm for their side, FWIW. Keep it going, I learn plenty about NZ cricketers by looking at this thread.

Why do you say McKay didn't bowl well in Bangladesh?

His figures from the tour:
He bowled 24 overs, took 5 wickets and conceded 113 runs.
That's a bowling average of 22.6 and an economy rate of 4.7.
For a fast bowler bowling on dry, spin friendly pitches those are pretty good figures.
He was really off and on and had a couple of good spells, but had the same amount or more terrible ones.

3 of his wickets were to the tail, and one other was just a terrible shot by Siddique.

tbh I thought his stats for the series were worse than that too :p

Are we talking about the two test match series in Australia. When I was watching him bowl to the lefties it looked like he was bowling cross seam to avoid getting any swing when he was beating the outside the edge. I don't recall the exact delivery you saw - but I am hoping it wasn't a cross seam delivery and was a genuine cutter on purpose. Do you recall details of the delivery and the seam position. Would be a good sign if he has been seaming it away from lefties at will.
Pretty sure it was a cutter. I vaguely remember C9 showing the variation of how he bowled it as well.

Na, was just a cross-seam delivery. Remember it well, was swinging it in to the left handers and then got rid off both Hayden and Katich with cross-seam deliveries going across them.

Also remember that match for us butchering a golden opportunity for the 412462726784th time.

Has anyone seen Irfan bowl recently? Does he look anything like his old self? He did really well with both bat and ball last season for Baroda, averaging under 20 with the ball.

hahaha his headband is truely awesome.

I love watching him bat though. It's just so funny.

I think he has matching sweat bands to go with it.

A story for you - I was once facing a bowler with red sweatbands. I could see that he was proud of them. So I told the umpire they were clashing with the ball and said he had to take them off. The bowler was crest fallen.

There is an approximate progression of Tendulkar's first Innings scores in the last three tests

41, 98 and 214.

Tendulkar to score 400 in the first test against NZ.
