I just wondered as I seem to remember him being very effective in the first T20 world cup I think it was.
Yeah early on in 2007....he was doing good because of his unorthodox action and he was more of a surprise package at that time....but once teams learned his action, he was pretty ordinary after that....still has the record i think in IPL I of the best figures...i think 6 for 8 or something like that...

Pakistan and India should seriously consider playing a series here in UAE..it is bound to be sold out!

Bad move to bring Akhtar back in...Afridi should have bowled a couple of overs here...He still has Gul, Ajmal and Hafeez to back him up...they need to dry up the runs...Akhtar did his job and should be saved for the end.

I simply don't get the logic here...! Why the **** is Razzaq bowling right after a wicket fell! This over is game over imo

Afridi is not a good captain

Poor team selection

Afridi should have batted more sensibly with so many overs left

Afridi's bowling is on decline

Pakistan batting line up is fragile, nothing surprising

Abdul Razzak is finished, He is not hitting the ball as hard, as far, as often, He is clueless against spin. He cant bat, cant bowl, cant field.

To be fair he did win you that match against England only a couple of games ago.

Wouldn't completely write him offf just yet (and he was awesome for Hampshire in the domestic T20)

I wouldn't say Razzaq is finished. In fact he is a finisher. If he has to play an anchor's role he will fail. He needs a decent platform to finish off things with fireworks. Most of the games in which he doesn't get that it is tough for him to consolidate and bat for long. Still a very brutal hitter of the ball. You should see his batting in the recently concluded T20 tournament.

As far as Afridi is concerned. Yes, his captaincy has huge question marks. Even though i am a die hard fan of Afridism, i am not comfortable with his captaining skills.

He introduced Razzaq at the wrong time for the second spell when Ajmal and he had overs to complete the final three overs...Akhtar was a bad choice too. He should have tried to dry up the runs when Akhtar and Hafeez gave quick break throughs, but instead he went to Gul who is always going to leak runs that early in the innings.

However, batting is to be blamed here, pretty much everyone failed....

The only one there is an arguement for not failing is Misbah, who did not look good while he was out there and looked completely out of place in a T20 match, especially that low in the order. They would have been better to swap him and Afridi IMO.

This is an awesome Batting lineup for Pakistan, not a bad bowling lineup either, hoping high :)
 Their openers have zero ability. Misbah is block, block, block, block, block, boundary. Akmal = Fisherman. The wicket keeper if not for technology would have finished his international career averaging 0. The most consistent batsman are their sloggers, Afridi and Razzaq. Also forgot Hafeez, which shows you how good he is.
