Strong punishment of chief offenders, but thats hard, I mean I look back in hindsight & get irritated that say Aameer probably would have escaped all this if India aloud Pakistanis into the IPL, he'd have a juicy financial prospect & we'd all enjoy him this series, in my mind at least.

I don't know, it just sucks, I've never looked at cricket cautiously before, I missed the South African stuff & grew up in happy wonderland, its all just not sitting with me well.
Not really. You would have to come here and see how corrupt the mind-set of the people has become to realize that even if Aamer had gotten a million dollars from the IPL he still would have been prone to make more money.

The kind of money that Aamer was making, few people in Pakistan get to see that kind of money in a lifetime. But he was just plain greedy and this greed is taking over all of society. There used to be a time when people would question where the money was coming from. Nowadays nobody even does that. Most of them say it doesn't matter where the money is coming from as long as it is coming.

And this kind of a mindset is not just endemic to Pakistan. It is happening in other developing countries too.

Your probably right, I said in my mind, I know its an idealistic thought. If its about money & greed then just ban Pakistan, stop the revenue. Reinstate a year or so later & hope the lesson takes that you don't bite the hand that feeds you.

That won't help as much IMO because the same things will start happening after one year. The best thing would be to keep international cricketers (especially Pakistan) under strict surveillance. I know it will be tough for them but it's a small price that you pay for fame and success.

Corruption starts with the govenment. If the PM is corrupt (he is), then forget a clean Pakistan. We have raw talent, but we can't nurture them if we have problems in ourselves.

It's the people from amongst us who make the government. The people on the whole have a corrupt mindset. It so happens that the worst of the lot end up as being our rulers. Which reminds me of that famous verse regarding corrupt rulers from our scriptures .

So there's a T20 today? Fancy Pakistan to win the T20s for some reason.
